Bluff City Vr
People are always asking “where are you?” While in the menu. We host a local team speak server on site and connect players to that for voice but then they can’t see each other and are confused. Would be really nice to have a built in voice program with the ability to see everyone around them in the lobby, but at the same time I can see why they don’t do this:
1) if you run 10 stations are all 10 people in the same group? Probably not.
2) too much voice chatter in the lobby would make it hard for people to talk to specific people they want to hear especially for the larger group. We have this problem regardless and have to setup multiple channels in teamspeak for them to talk to one another and separate groups by channels.
So while it is good there are some downsides that have to be considered and coded for which is probably why it’s not in there now.

This would be really awesome for birthday parties or families that come in together

would be still great to see each other (even you start afterwards a solo-game or just will find yourself ingame later)
it will make a vr arcade more team orientated and customers that are first time in VR feel more comfortable!

Would be great if this could also automatically have them joined as a team once they launch the game. Unfortunately this would require each developer to integrate some kind of SDK created by Springboard for this specific purpose. It's a nice idea, but it feels like one that might be harder to pull off than it seems.
